Our History

Who We Are
In 1928, a German plumber named Frank Stark immigrated to the United States. After gaining experience with various plumbing companies, he founded Stark Plumbing in 1940, focusing primarily on residential plumbing for nearly two decades. In 1961, seeking diversification, Stark Plumbing joined the Local 59 Plumbers Union, with a strategic goal of expanding into commercial construction.
Fast forward to 1993, when the company, under the leadership of then-president Mark Stark, embarked on a significant diversification effort by merging with Nelson Excavation. This merger gave rise to The Nelson Stark Company, a robust entity with a workforce of over 200 skilled professionals, including plumbers, operating engineers, and laborers, enabling us to tackle a wide array of projects and challenges.
